Ycode lets you publish your site instantly, either to a Ycode subdomain or your own custom domain. Just register your domain and link it to Ycode for a seamless connection.
When you create a new project with Ycode, we will provide a subdomain securely served over SSL. This is great for internal or client projects, but if you plan to share your web app with the public, it is better to have your own custom domain name.
Setting up a domain
To publish your Ycode website on a custom domain bought through a hosting provider, you’ll need to add it to your project and configure DNS records with your domain provider. First, buy a domain from a service like Google Domains or GoDaddy. Once you have your domain:
Go to Settings in left sidebar.
Then choose Domains.
Click Add domain.
In the pop-up click Continue.
Enter domain name you want to connect e.g. yourdomain.com.
Select your domain provider and follow istructions.
If you can't find you provider choose Manual setup.
Update your DNS records with the Ycode DNS settings provided, using the web hosting service where you bought your domain.
Once done, click I have added 2/2 records above to my domain's provider.
It may take up to 48 hours for your domain's DNS records to update and for your site to be visible worldwide, though it usually happens sooner. Once connected, users can access your site through your new domain.
